Our attitudes and thought patterns help to determine the level of peace we experience. When we allow our thinking to be controlled by nagging and negative, sinful and sour thoughts we allow Satan to control our minds.
Our Lord raises and answers a significant question “Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? Of course not.” (Matthew 6:27).
By God’s Grace however, we can learn to be aware of the thought patterns that plague us with worry and therefore steal our peace.
When we are tempted to negative and unproductive thinking ask for God’s help in prayer. Be honest enough to confess that you struggle with obsessive, enslaving and negative thinking. Then use your God given mind to focus on peaceful attributes.
Philippians 4:8 encourages us to “fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”
ALLOW THE PEACE THAT COMES FROM CHRIST TO RULE IN YOUR HEART. Colossians 3:15
